HOW THE WEBSITE GOT ITS TAGLINE AND LOGO

Okay, so, you know how the website got its name (if you don’t, just head over to the About Page and I tell you all about it there), but I have not shared the origin and meaning of the website’s tagline and logo. So, let’s talk about it since they also have their own interesting stories.

Three seemingly unrelated elements coming together to represent my journey

Some of my family and friends will know that I have a tattoo on my right forearm, which just so happens to be the logo of the website (in case you are wondering, the tattoo came years before I even thought about launching a website). It was designed by a very special friend of mine who perfectly captured exactly what I was looking for in the artwork – an Aum sign, an infinity sign, and a heart, which are three symbols I have always been drawn to. Honestly speaking though, when I was lying on the table getting inked, I had no idea it would become so important to me or that it would resonate so deeply with my life’s mission, let alone be a logo for my website…

Also, I actually coined the tagline independently of the tattoo, and only later did I realise that the two are so intimately connected, so, I decided to use the tattoo as the logo. I would love to take full credit for this happy coincidence, but in all honestly, I do not know if it was the universe working its magic or just pure chance that the tagline and tattoo tied together so well. Whatever it was, I am extremely glad it worked out.

So, what does it mean anyways?

The website tagline “Believe in something, find your purpose, live with passion” illustrates the phases of which my journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening happened. Interestingly enough, the more I think about it, and the more people I engage with, the more I realise that following these three stages could allow each one of us to lead a more meaningful life. While I am fully aware that every one of us is unique and may therefore have different ways of achieving the same goal, for me, this tagline explains how I transformed my life from just existence to actually living. If it worked for me, it could also work for others and it is my goal to help you manifest a life that is as abundantly prosperous as possible.

Before we get into it, just know that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution for anything, especially something as monumental as bringing meaning to your life. So, if this does not resonate with you, do not be disheartened; I encourage you to reach out so we can talk about it and find your path to the life you deserve.

I will first explain what I mean about each phase, in general. Thereafter, I will tell you how it related to me specifically. And finally, I will show you how each phase associates perfectly with a specific element in the logo.

If you don’t believe in something, when the going gets tough, you’ll stop going

The first phase in my journey was finding something that I believe in. Just as you will see in the explanation for the next phase, this too should ideally be something bigger than just yourself. This does not mean that what you choose to believe in has to be supernatural, or a God, or anything spiritual for that matter. It can be a cause that is close to your heart, or a feeling, or even a product or service. Whatever it is, though, it must be absolute and permanent enough to keep you going on your journey and remind you why you started.

I chose to believe in a higher power that is looking out for me and guiding me in my endeavours. There were countless experiences (good and bad), which had convinced me of this without a doubt and also made me believe that everything happens for a reason whether we know it or not. Like you may have already guessed, this first part relates to the Aum sign in the logo. I surrender completely to the higher power and accept the outcome of events without question, regardless of whether it is what I personally wanted because I believe that everything that happens is all part of a much bigger plan.

Energy flows where intention goes, so, find your purpose and grow

I think that every person was born with their own unique purpose, which is something that makes you feel fulfilled and truly happy and complete. Some people believe that you do not get to choose your purpose. Your purpose may not always make sense to other people, even those who are closest to you. It may not be easy to follow or quick to realise. But when you are fortunate enough to discover and pursue this purpose, your life immediately becomes more meaningful. Those of you who have found it already will know exactly what I am talking about. But for those of you still searching, my advice to you is keep searching and try exploring deeper and wider because, almost always, your purpose (and what you choose to believe in) is much bigger than yourself. When you finally find your purpose, make it your primary intention to fulfil that purpose and direct all your energy towards doing just that.

I began to discover my purpose in 2017 but only fully realised it in 2019. Prior to this, I did not know what I was meant to do. And now that I have figured it out, I can personally confirm that there is a huge positive enhancement in the way I feel when going about my daily life. I discovered that I am meant to help and serve people in the most direct way possible. I feel greatly fulfilled when I am able to have a positive impact on people’s lives, whether it is by inspiring them or teaching them or helping them realise their own purpose. For me, seeing people thrive and succeed, and knowing that I had something to do with that, brings me more happiness I can explain. This second phase relates to the infinity sign in the logo. Why an infinity sign? Well, further to the purpose I just described, I aim to leave a positive imprint on every person I have the honour of engaging. And I hope that the people I am able to help and inspire are, one day, able to do the same for others. Thus creating an everlasting (infinite) legacy of love and energy going forward, which will hopefully continue long after I am gone.

Live with passion because a life without it is not living, it is merely existing

Simply put, do what you love and love what you do. When you wake up in the morning you should be excited to get out of bed and go about your day. When you talk about what you do, you should light up with enthusiasm. Yes, of course there will always be those days when you do not feel this way, however, they should be the rare exception, not the norm. If and when this happens, you just need to remember and go back to what you believe in and the purpose you are living for.

My passion has become people and is in fact very closely linked to my purpose. I am passionate about helping people and seeing people thrive. Furthermore, another passion that I developed more recently is the human body – I truly believe that it is the greatest creation that the world will ever know. I am in awe of the complexity and perfectness of all the organs and systems in the body and how it all works together to develop, maintain, and heal the body as and when required. If you have heard me talk about how incredible I think the heart is or about how important the kidneys are, or anything related to the human body, you will know how excited I get, which is how it should be when you talk about something that you are passionate about. Naturally, this third phase is related to the heart in the logo.

Find your Ikigai

So, that is the website tagline and logo, but before I say good-bye, I think this is a great opportunity to also tell you about an interesting concept called Ikigai (pronounced “ee-kee-gahy”), which is a Japanese term that roughly translates to “reason for being.” It is a lifestyle that strives to balance the spiritual with the practical. This balance is found at the intersection where your passions and talents converge with the things that the world needs and is willing to pay for and is well-illustrated in the image below.

If you would like to know more about it, there are many online resources that you can explore further.

Why not give the tagline a chance and try to find your Ikigai? If you are already on the path to doing so, or even if you have already found it, I would love to hear about your journey! Was it easy for you to figure out? Or did you have some challenges like I had? Please share your stories; you never know who you might help or inspire to achieve their own Ikigai.

Peace and love to you all.

Bye for now…
